Lowell Aplebaum, Ed.D , FASAE, CAE, CPF, serves as the CEO of Vista Cova, a company dedicated to collaborating with organizations on strategic visioning and planning, fostering stronger stakeholder connections, and reimagining value and engagement. As an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator, Lowell consistently delivers dynamic sessions to organizations, actively engaging volunteers, members, and staff through experiential learning methods.

Beginning his career in informal education, Lowell has accumulated over a decade of experience working within associations, focusing on areas such as membership and value, volunteer leadership development, professional development, global alliance building, communications and marketing, community management, operations, finance, HR, and staff oversight. Following his tenure as the Chief Operating Officer for a medical association, Lowell returned to his passion for facilitating and collaborating with volunteer leaders, members, and staff by founding Vista Cova.

In addition to his role as CEO, Lowell is actively involved in various leadership capacities within the ASAE, including serving on the ASAE Research Committee and as a past Chair for the overseeing commission for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. He also chaired ASAE’s Task Force on CEO Pathways and previously led as Chair for ASAE’s Component Relations Council. Notably, he is the creator of the master-level learning series, Through the CEO Lens, and Association Charrette, a co-creation retreat experience. Additionally, Lowell has contributed significantly to the field, co-executive editing and contributing as an author for ASAE’s Component Relations Handbook, 2nd edition, and contributing chapters to the latest versions of Professional Practices of Association Management and Membership Essentials.

In Winter 2023, Lowell completed his doctorate in education with a focus on organizational leadership from St. Mary's University of Minnesota, further enriching his expertise in the field. His commitment to mentoring is evident through his role as a mentor for ASAE’s Diversity Executive Leadership Program and his previous involvement as a facilitator for ASAE’s Centennial Recognition Task Force. With a global perspective, Lowell has contributed to associations across five continents, worked with hundreds of volunteer groups, and engaged with all 50 states in the U.S.

Clare has been involved in Association management and sales and marketing for over 30 years. She was the chair of the Early Start Association of Zimbabwe, has worked for Round Table, consulted to associations on their marketing and event needs, has run numerous conferences.

Kathleen has been involved in association management for 15 years and is currently the Director of Social Impact at International Coaching Federation, Foundation.
She connects with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds and fosters an environment of mutual respect especially in the context of offering social impact projects to ICF-accredited professional coaches and ICF Chapters through the Ignite Initiative Program.
By providing pro bono or reduced-rate coaching engagements to leaders, employees and beneficiaries of organizations supporting the United Nations Global Goals, Ignite Initiative Program empowers meaningful social impact on a global scale.
Kathleen manages partnership portfolios with UNICEF, World Vision, Obama Foundation, and Special Olympics. She currently works with a team of 41 (forty-one) volunteer project leaders who connect ICF credentialed members with organizations in Middle East and Africa, Europe, N. America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific to attain the UN Sustainable Goals through professional executive coaching. Through her work she has helped increase the annual number of global coaching projects from twenty-one (21) to fifty-six (56) and an annual increase in funding up to seven hundred and five percent (705%).
Previously, she was involved in regional roles with ICF and in helping set up chapters in underrepresented regions in Africa.
She volunteered for three (3) years as an organizing secretary in the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Kenya Chapter where she managed pro bono and reduced-rate coaching programs.
She received her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Global business sustainability and earned her certification in professional coaching from the Coach Development Institute (CDI) Africa. She received a student excellence award from DePaul University, Chicago, USA.

Jeffers Miruka is a Kenyan association management and MICE specialist with over 15 years of experience in leading Africa’s associations sector. He founded and served as President of the African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE), launched in 2015 as a pan African professional community for association executives. Miruka is co founder and Managing Director of AFAMCO (the African Association Management Company)—a joint venture with Talley Management Group—which supports associations across Africa with governance, events, and professional development services. Additionally, he has played a key role in the formation of the Association for Kenya Business Events (AKBE), contributing to Kenya's positioning as a premier meetings destination in Africa. Recognised internationally, Miruka participates as a mentor at ICCA events and contributes as a frequent speaker and writer in the global association community. He’s an alumnus of the prestigious Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) by the Centre for Associations Leadership (ASAE). He has a Master of Science in Data Science.

In addition to her work with associations that encompasses multiple functions and spans across more than a decade, Juanita Vorster is an experienced international speaker.

She is currently the Deputy President of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (PSASA), regular media contributor, and strategist in her own company that specialises in support services for associations.

As a speaker and advisor, Juanita uses "human speak" to translate AI, change, leadership, governance, ethics, and growth theory into practical steps for immediate action.

Kumbi Chiweshe is the Chief Explorer at The Victoria Falls DMC, a specialist destination management company focused on incentive travel and business events in one of Africa’s most iconic locations. With a career spanning luxury hospitality — including roles at Leading Hotels of the World properties in Harare and Washington, DC — Kumbi brings a global lens to local experiences.
He now leads a passionate team working to re-establish Victoria Falls as a premier MICE destination for Africa and the world. Known for his creative energy and strategic drive, Kumbi is an advocate for purpose-driven travel that delivers not just memories, but meaningful connections and measurable impact.

Gregg founded TMG in 1987 with his father after prior experience in association and event management along with destination marketing experience. For the past 33 years TMG has provided association management services and consulting to national and international associations. In addition, TMG provides major event and citywide convention planning for clients across the US and around the globe working as a core PCO.

In 2016, Gregg helped launch the African Society of Association Executives as a Management Advisor and provides training and education across the continent to African association leaders on a pro bono basis.

In 2018, Gregg launched association management company joint ventures in Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya and India, based in Delhi. He is a frequent traveler to Kenya where he has family.

Gregg also consults with destinations globally at the city and national level on business event strategy and national association development to align with strategic growth sectors.

Gregg serves on many destination and national advisory boards and is active in speaking and writing about industry issues. He is a past National Chair of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and is currently Treasurer on the Board of the International Convention and Congress Association (ICCA).

Glenton’s active involvement in the Tourism Hospitality, and Business Events industry, both in South Africa and across Africa, is driven by making a lasting impact. With strategic management skills honed through experiences in the public and private sectors, Glenton has shown dedication to bridging the gap between the public and private sectors in his various roles.

His business management background spans multiple sectors, including tourism, hospitality, meetings, and events. Glenton has held positions such as Chief Executive Officer of Nelson Mandela Bay, Managing Director of Buffalo City, Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Cape Tourism Board, Project Manager at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, and Associate Director at KPMG, he is currently serving as a board member of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa and the Tourism Transformation Council of South Africa.

He is currently the CEO of the South African Association for the Conference Industry. Glenton actively engages as an industry advisor to organisations and occasionally mentors businesses within Tourism. His role during the pandemic is well documented. His experience played a pivotal role in working with all stakeholders as the Meetings and Events Industry navigated the return to work while demonstrating the significant socio-economic impact the sectors have on society.

Lina Jamwa is a seasoned communications and policy professional with expertise in public relations, corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, policy and membership management. She currently serves as the Membership, Advocacy, and Communications Manager at the Kenya Flower Council.
Recognized among the top 52 public relations professionals in Kenya (PRSK 2024), Lina is an active industry leader, serving in the Membership and Professional Development Committees of both the Public Relations Society of Kenya (2023–2025) and the African Public Relations Association (2025–2027). She also previously contributed her expertise to two PRSK Panels of Experts (2019 – 2021) focusing on Public Interest and Policy and Measurement and Evaluation Ethics.
Lina is passionate about leadership, mentorship and professional growth. She co-authored the She Leads Vol. 3, a book on women in leadership capturing nuggets of wisdom from women leaders. As a Comms Mentoring Programme (CMP) Mentor, she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of public relations professionals. She founded and spearheads 'The PR Pulse', a public relations thought leadership platform designed to foster networking, knowledge-sharing, and industry insights among public relations professionals the world over. Paul T Mavima is a vibrant youth leader from Zimbabwe, who currently serves as Executive Chairperson of Vision 2030 Movement, a youth led organisation working towards youth inclusion and participation in all facets of the economy.

He holds a Hnrs Degree in Economic History from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently pursuing his Masters in International Relations and Politics with Wits University.

Salome Gathigia Ngunjiri is a dynamic aviation professional and rising thought leader, currently serving as Stakeholder Lead at the Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO), the national umbrella body that serves as the unified voice of Kenya’s aviation sector. KAAO advocates for the interests of commercial, private, and recreational air operators, as well as aviation-adjacent businesses driving the industry forward.

A graduate of Moi University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Aviation Management, Salome has further enriched her skillset with specialized training in Quality Management in Aviation and certification in Digital Marketing from HubSpot Academy. She brings to her work a rare blend of technical insight, strategic communication, and a forward-looking grasp of digital transformation.

Her aviation journey began at the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, where she gained foundational experience in regulatory operations. Her passion for innovation began to take shape during her time at Jubilee Tissues Limited, where she served as a Customer Relationship Manager. She embraced digital tools to enhance client engagement, streamline service delivery, and strengthen customer retention strategies, leveraging AI-driven solutions to make these processes more efficient and impactful.

Today, Salome stewards stakeholder relations at KAAO, facilitating high-level engagements between regulators, operators, government ministries, and international partners.
